Welcome to the GI Babies Germany e.V. Website
Willkommen auf der Website des Vereins GI Babies Germany e.V.
On June 13th 2009 we established the non-profit organization GI Babies Germany.
This organization supports children and grandchildren of members and former members of the US Armed Forces that were stationed in Germany and are of legal age, in their search of their American roots. Searches that we assist include the American birthparent and/or other family members next to kin. Help and assistance also goes to adoptees born in Germany if one of their birthparents was a member or former member of the US Armed Forces stationed in Germany. We also support members and former members of the US Armed Forces that were stationed in Germany searching for their children that are of legal age in Germany. Children and grandchildren of members and former members of the US Armed Forces that were stationed in Germany and are of legal age, searching for siblings born in Germany also are supported and assisted on their searches. Help and assistance can also be provided with first contact after the family member is found. Our goal and mission is to help reunite people with members of their family who they have lost contact with, or have yet to meet. We are proud of our volunteer team that includes; Volunteer Search Angels in the USA and in Germany, members with genealogy experience, members that speak both English and German and members that have experience in counseling.
Anybody that is interested or searching can join our organization. Your membership would help support the searches. The membership fee helps to cover the cost of these searches. Please download the application for membership, fill out and send it by email to

Freedom Blvd. - A Journey To The PastHenry Reyna, member of the GI Babies Germany, was accompanied by a film-maker while searching for his roots. The result is a very impressive, as well as important, documentation about the search for his roots and for himself. Here is the official trailer that will show you a first summary about Henry’s voyage. This makes us want more. The official accompanying text: "As long as we don't know our ancestor's history we will remain children" (The teaser in a english translation is coming soon) Last Updated (Tuesday, 06 September 2011 08:55) Interview at the radiostation HR2On 5 March 2011 a few GI Babies were invited for an interview by the radiostation HR2, a local radio station from around Frankfurt. The interview aired on 26 March in a series called "HR2, the world at our doorstep".
The interview took place in a comfortable environment and was cut down to an emotional 3:46 minutes long article that you can download on HR2's website as a podcast or MP3 (for private use only)

Zeitungsinterview im W1-Extrablatt aus WormsThere are no translations available. G.I.
